What our wax pearls are made of
Our pearls are plant-based wax pearls, supplied by a supplier established in France. They are sold with no added fragrance. The wicks supplied are cotton or wood, depending on the pack. Packing is carried out in Belgium, in Arlon.
The essential oils in our range are sold separately and carry their own regulatory labelling.
How to use our wax pearls safely
The container
Choose a heat-resistant container: tempered or borosilicate glass, heat-resistant glazed ceramic, metal or stone.
Never use plastic, wood, cork, paper or cardboard, thin decorative glass, or a repurposed jar whose heat resistance and thickness you do not know. Never use a container that is cracked, chipped or has taken a knock.
An unsuitable container can crack or shatter while the candle burns and spread burning molten wax.
Scenting
Never place essential oil on the wick or around the wick. Neat oil in contact with the wick ignites when lit.
Never pour essential oil onto a lit candle, or into hot or liquid wax. Risk of immediate ignition.
The right method: pour the wax pearls into your container, add the oil and mix until it is spread throughout. Only then place the wick. No oil must remain visible on the surface when you light it.
Before scenting again, put out the candle and let it cool completely.
The wick and filling
- Use a single wick, of the size matching the diameter of your container.
- Do not fill to the brim.
- Trim the wick before each lighting.
- Place the container on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface.
- Do not mix our wax pearls with wax of another origin.
- Relight the same wick or replace it to refresh your candle. Replace it as soon as it hardens.
General precautions
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets.
- Leave at least 5 cm between two burning candles.
- Do not burn near anything liable to catch fire.
- Do not place in a draught.
- Wax pearls are not edible, including when cold. Pick up immediately any that fall on the floor.
Traceability
Each pack carries a product reference and a batch number. Keep it: it allows us to identify your product precisely if you report a problem to us.
